1. Introduction & Context
Filtered Search Reports let you narrow the results down to the records you need. As well as filters such as Type, Register, Status, Location and due date, you can search the report by keyword, including searching by a record's title. This helps you find the most relevant records quickly.
Who is it for? Anyone running a Filtered Search Report who wants to find specific records.
What does it impact? Searching and filtering only change what the report shows you. They do not change any records.
2. Key Features & Functions
- Search: find records using one or more keywords that match the items in the report.
- Search by Title: find records using keywords contained in the record's title. Every record whose title contains the keyword is shown.
- Standard filters: alongside the search, you can narrow a report by Type, Register, Status, Location, due date, and more.
3. Requirements
- Access to the Filtered Search Reports page.
- A report to run. You only ever see records you have at least read access to.
4. Step-by-Step Guide
- Go to Modules > Reports to open the Filtered Search Reports page.
- Select the module whose report you want to run.
Select a module to run its filtered report.
- Scroll to the search section, where you have two options:
- Search: search using one or more keywords that match the items.
- Search by Title: search using keywords contained in the record's title. If more than one record contains the keyword, all matching records are shown.

5. Common Issues & Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause and what to do |
| Search by Title returns more records than expected. | Every record whose title contains the keyword is shown. Use a more specific keyword, or add other filters to narrow the report. |
| A search returns no records. | Check the spelling of the keyword, and that other filters are not excluding the records. Remember you only see records you have access to. |
| You can't find the Search by Title field. | Scroll to the search section of the report, where both Search and Search by Title appear. |
