The navigation bar in CGR Foundation, located at the top of the page, provides a streamlined interface to access essential features and functionalities. This section explains each component in the navigation bar to help you navigate CGR Foundation effectively.



Key Features Explained

  1. Logo and Default Dashboard Access

    • Clicking on the CGR Foundation logo in the top left corner directs you to the default dashboard.

  2. 'Menu' and 'My Registers' Dropdown's

    • The 'My Registers' dropdown functions as a selection tool for registers, which can represent folders, business units, or projects.

    • The 'Menu' dropdown is used in conjunction with 'My Registers' to navigate to specific actions or sections within a selected register.

  3. 'Create' Button

    • This configurable button provides quick access to commonly used actions, such as creating a risk or action.

  4. Search Bar

    • The search bar allows you to look for keywords, phrases, or IDs. It provides related results, enabling faster navigation.

  5. AI Icon

    • Located next to the search bar, the AI icon gives access to features available in the latest CGR Foundation version.

  6. Library Icon

    • Represented by a book icon, this leads to your library of causes, consequences, controls, and business objectives, depending on your CGR configuration.

  7. Notification Bell Icon

    • The bell icon displays notifications, such as successfully prepared reports ready for download.

  8. Account Dropdown

    • Found next to the bell icon, it shows your name and provides access to various user-specific actions or settings based on your permissions. 


Tips for Efficient Usage

  • Combining 'Menu' and 'My Registers': Ensure you first select a register from the 'My Registers' dropdown before choosing actions from the 'Menu' dropdown to optimise navigation.

  • Customising the 'Create' Button: Configure the 'Create' button to include frequently used actions, saving time on repetitive tasks.

  • Utilising the Search Bar: Use specific keywords or phrases for more accurate results. For example, searching 'risk assessment' will return all relevant risks and actions.

  • Reviewing Notifications: Regularly check the bell icon for updates, ensuring no critical actions or reports are missed.
