Why did my new register have risk matrices assigned by default?

A risk matrix can be applied to a register by default. Only a System Administrator can change it.

How to change the matrix applied to your register

If you are a System Administrator and you want to change the risk matrix applied to your register, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Admin > Risk Matrices and make sure the matrix you want to use has already been created.

2. Navigate to Admin > Rating Strategies. Here you assign which matrix is used for each risk custom type within a register.
3. Scroll down to the relevant risk custom type and open it. The Default for Type checkbox controls whether any new register will default to this rating strategy.

4. To remove a risk matrix as the default, untick the checkbox. To apply a different risk matrix to a register, first remove the register from the field and save. You can then apply that register to a different rating strategy.
