Understanding Notices

Purpose

Notices are system logs that track when certain actions, like triggers, email notifications, and other automated tasks that run in the background. 

They show whether the action was successful or not, when it occurred, and includes error messages if something went wrong.



Important Notes

  • You must be a system administrator to be able to access this area.



Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Admin > Notices. This will load a table listing notices.

  2. From here you can search for Notices in the search bar and select it from the main screen, or select it from the left-hand panel.

  3. Each notice displayed provides the following information:


FieldDescription
IDUnique to each notice.
TypeIndicates whether the event was a success or failure.
Created atTimestamp showing when the event occurred.
Note: The time zone reflects your user’s time zone settings — see the time zone article for more information.
Source TypeThe type of event that generated the notice
SourceThe name of the source item that generated the notice
EventIndicates if the event has succeeded or failed
MessagesFurther message/ information for the notice.

Directory UserSCIM Users that get mapped to Users within the Provisioners admin page.
EffectTriggered Effects, which update fields before a record is saved within a trigger.
Email NotificationNotifications setup in the email notification module
Email Notification DigestNotifications setup in the email notification module where users have individually opted to receive them as digest.
Reminder

Reminders the user has manually setup on records where reminders have been enabled.

Scheduled Dashboard ExportDashboard exports that have been scheduled by users from themselves or others.
TriggerAny triggers setup in the triggers module
Triggered NotificationAny triggers that have been configured to send an email notification



Filtering Notices

The filters allow you to narrow down the notice list to find the relevant record(s). You can filter by Type, Source Type and Event.
