Why can't a user see a dashboard?

Users can only view dashboards that they have created or dashboards that have been shared with them through two pathways. 

How to check who has access to a dashboard?

(i) Reviewing Access through the Dashboard Templates:
(This applies to system admins who have created their own dashboards through the Admin > Dashboard Templates) 

1. In the top left corner, click on the Dashboards menu, then click on pencil-icon to edit the dashboard.
    
2. Click on the Share sub-panel to expand it. Here, you can see whether the dashboard is shared with all users or specific users.
   Note: If the Teams, Users or Roles fields are blank, the dashboard is shared with all users. 
   
   
3. To share the dashboard with a specific user, click on Users field and select a user from the list.
   
   

(ii) Reviewing Access through the Dashboard Manager:

(This applies to system admins/users who have created their own dashboards through Admin > Dashboard Manager)

1. In the top right corner, click on your name dropdown and then select ‘Dashboard Manager’.
   
   
2. Users can only see dashboards they have created or that have been shared with them.  
   Note: Sharing the dashboard URL does not give anyone access. Users can only view the dashboard if it has been shared with them through dashboard share permissions.
   
   
3. To share a dashboard you’ve created, click on it, then click the blue share-icon in the top right corner.
   
   
   
4. A pop-up will appear where you can configure sharing settings. At the bottom, you can see which users have access to the dashboard and their access level.
