Purpose
The Images feature enables administrators to upload and manage custom images within CGR. These images can be displayed in designated areas to enhance system usability and provide visual references.
This article outlines the key features of the image upload functionality and provides step-by-step instructions to assist system administrators in configuring images.
Important Notes
- Multiple Image References – Images can be assigned to specific areas.
- Image display - Images can be displayed against custom fields as well as in certain positions:
- Business Objectives and Control Effectiveness Information Image – these will appear on the schemas where the referenced field appears.
- Default Header Logo
- Default Report Logo
- Mobile Landing Logo
- Risk Authorisation Information Image
- Risk Current Authoriser Information Image
- Risk Rating Information Image
- Supported Formats – The system supports image uploads in the following formats:
- BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, TIFF, WEBP
Step-by-Step Guide
Adding a New Image
Navigate to the Admin section.
- Click Images on the left-hand navigation bar.

- The system will display a list of existing images.
- Click Add to upload a new image.

- Enter a title for the image.
- Click Choose File to select an image file.

- Select the reference point where the image should be displayed. Common use cases include:
- Default Header Logo
- Default Report Logo
- Mobile Landing Logo (for organisations using the mobile app)
- If the reference field is left blank, the image will be available for use in custom fields. If completed, the image will be allocated to a specific area (e.g. Application Header Logo).

- Choose whether to enable the image by selecting Yes or No.
- Click Save to finalise the upload.
Editing Images
- In the Images section, locate the image you wish to modify.
- Click the Edit button (pencil icon).

- Make the necessary changes.
- Click Save to apply the updates.
Enabling or Disabling Images
- In the Images section, find the image you wish to enable or disable.
- Click the toggle button to switch between enabled and disabled states.

Note: Disabling an image referenced as a Header Logo, Report Logo, or Mobile Logo will immediately revert it to the default CGR Foundation (or CGR) logo for all users in the application.
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Why is the uploaded image not displaying?
- Confirm that the correct reference point was selected during the upload process.
- Refresh the page or sync the schema to view the updated image.
- Make sure the field where you want to display it is visible on a schema or form.
- Ensure the image is enabled in the system settings.
Changes to an image are not saving
- Double-check that all mandatory fields are filled in before clicking Save.
- Ensure no network connectivity issues are preventing updates from being applied.
